Savory to Sweet is a new food website created to explore the culinary world from savory appetizers to sweet desserts.
I am starting this website to share my knowledge and passion for cooking. As a professionally trained chef I hope to use my fine dining roots to create impressive meals at home, but as a human who has to eat dinner 365 days each year I hope to also create easy and approachable recipes.
Who am I?
My name is Emma and I am a trained chef and aspiring blogger.
I grew up in Washington state, near Seattle, in a large and loving family. We were a Scandinavian American family that took food seriously. From a young age I helped in the kitchen and found out I had a passion for cooking. In high school I took two years of a vocational culinary class and decided to attend culinary school.
I went to The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Two degrees later I moved back to Washington and made a living as a line cook and sous chef.
